I know, I know, I shouldn't swear....
I know, I know I shouldn't let Buna ISD get me all "stirred up."
And, I had been pretty good not cussin' but lately, I've hopped off the rails here, as Paul said in Romans 7: 19 " For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do." KJV ( I posted in King James Version for all of you who think that KJV is somehow better than other versions. You know, those of you stuck in 1600s Stewart/Stuart England....Or perhaps you're just a fanboy/fan-girl of King James VI & I.....And we'll talk about that later, meanwhile read his letters to George Villiers......)
So, if Paul had that problem, well, a heathen who grew up in the woods of Vidor, well, sometimes I get off the "straight and narrow."
Yesterday, I discussed the fact Buna Schools are a "District of Innovation" and they can hire folks without certification...Trouble is, you're supposed to be hiring folks with certification when they are available.
So, I was done writing on the certification situation at Buna.....Seriously, I was. Was looking at writing on the Iran situation, and either the US or Israel bombing Iran.....
Then, I receive a private message from someone who has been in the education "bidness" for a while.....
They are a Buna alumni and had applied for the Government/Economics job at Buna.....................
They hold a high school Social Studies Certificate. One that is valid. ( You have to say valid now, as the state no longer issues LIFE certificates like oldsters like myself hold. You have to re-new them now. Pay $150 every few years.Think it's still $150)
They also have experience teaching secondary social studies.
They were upset, it seems they didn't even get a sniff.
It makes you wonder, how many people were overlooked who had experience, and more importantly certificates.
You know, Buna ISD, it's like you're just doing whatever I want to do, screw the rules....Or even what makes sense.
Kind of makes you wonder...What the Cornbread Fuck is Going on Up There????????
Does the board really know is another question?
Or, just another type of Buna clique?
I seriously worry about the move from elementary to 12th grade by the next government/economics instructor. I worry the seniors will eat her alive.
And I'm serious when I say this, if I were to apply at Buna today( Before you knew who/what I am) after my time in Dayton, Magnolia Schools, I wouldn't have a damn dog's chance of being hired.....
