I am waiting on Amazon today, and this is not what the today's blog is about......In my life, and partially, it's because I am not a fan of horror. Bad dreams and all, but I have ordered a cheap paperback copy of Bram Stoker's " Dracula."
Part of was, I had an epiphany when the YouTuber, Wandering Turnip visited the English seacoast town of Whitby in the Northeast of the nation. Stoker lived there for several years and a portion of Dracula takes places there.
Anyway, Whitby has a church overlooking the sea I would love to visit one Sunday morning for services, and because it's Anglican, we'll take communion...... Then, go on up North and visit the Geordie's in Newcastle....
But, I digress.
As, I posted yesterday, the United States has sent at least 24-25 USAF refueling planes to the Middle East region....And the the aircraft carrier the USS Nimitz is being sent from the South China Sea to the Persian Gulf.
( And the computer decided I needed to listen to Coolio and Gangsta's Paradise....And now KALEO "Way Down We Go.")
Man, do we need to get involved in another Middle East "War?"
The last few well, what have they really accomplish?( Man, I don't want to even discuss Afghanistan. Didn't those Ivy Leaguers take history? The Greeks, British, Russians couldn't stay there...Why could we?) Other than get young men sent home in bad shape....I've never been a fan of getting involved in wars in Asia. Especially since we now have the oil situation under control....And I have a vested interest in East Asia....
Let me remind you, if we get involved in Iran, will China get involved?
Where do the Chinese get their oil from? Iran....And I don't know what the Chinese might do..... ( Think Taiwan.)
Wars are unpredictable. Even the Israelis and the Iranians cannot know how their current conflict will end.
This is from Financial Times of London...."It is most likely, however, that the Israel-Iran war will follow its own distinct path. One scenario that worries western security officials involves a desperate Iranian regime deciding to strike back through unconventional means."
Biological? Chemical? A Nuclear "Dirty Bomb?"
Desperate people often do desperate things....
Even if the US joins the war, there is no guarantees.
The old Chinese proverb comings to mind...." May you live in interesting times" comes to mind....
